If you're reading this article, chances are you've finished your tenancy around 6 weeks ago and have received a final bill from Resooma.
This final bill comes from our energy suppliers after calculating your inbound funds versus your usage at your unit rate. When you have an outstanding balance due to pay, this means the supplier has used your meter readings and you didn't get billed enough for the time period of living there. In instances where meter readings haven't been done, the energy provider will estimate your usage (usually higher than what you've used) and bill you on the assumption of estimating. We understand this isn't fair but it does happen! π
The best way to avoid this is to do regular monthly meter readings (every 6 weeks will also do!) so we can keep track of your usage and if needed, alter your monthly direct debit cost to accommodate this.
If you show a trend of using less, the same process will occur. We will decrease your monthly direct debit so you dont have to wait all year for a refund from the energy supplier!
